The skeye.pad classic is a multifunctional Handheld PC, featuring a 206 MHz StrongArm microprocessor, 64MB RAM, 32 MB Flash and a touch-sensitive 8,4" DSTN-display to bridge the gab between PDA and Notebook. Due to its modular design and wide range of accessories (e.g. barcode reader, car cradle, GPS mouse, headset) its field of application is nearly unlimited. Both the Windows CE and the Handheld PC 2000 operating system provide for a platform that allows the use of many off-the-shelf software and customised solutions.
Depending on the intended use, skeye.pad classic is currently offered with two different transmission technologies.
If you travel a lot, then the GSM module is the one for you allowing for a wireless Internet access where ever you are (optional MS Internet Explorer or WAP browser) thus making it possible to send e-mails and SMS whenever required. In addition, skeye.pad classic can be operated as organiser and data management system.

If you intend to primary use the skeye.pad classic at home or at your office the skeye.pad is also a reasonable investment as the DECT variant of the skeye.pad allows for a higher data transmission rate than the GSM version. Wireless communication is realised via DECT base station, that can easily be connected to your ISDN connection. Skeye.pad classic features a range of about 30 m in buildings and about 300 in obstacle free areas allowing for a high degree of independence.

Installation of software and software updates can be easily performed via the Internet.
